Seasonal Full Time or Part Time positions available. Applicants must be available to work weekends and evening shifts if needed. All positions include golf and driving range benefits. Pay rate is dependent on prior experience and industry averages. 

Job Descriptions

ASSISTANT SUPERINTENDENT

Full Time. Seasonal or All year. 3+ years of experience working at a golf course or related field. 2 year degree or certificate in turf management, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Prior experience on a golf course with mowers and landscaping equipment. Available to be scheduled weekends, holidays, and afternoon shifts if needed. Valid Drivers License required. No Dui’s.

No chemical allergies or outdoor allergies that would interfere with daily tasks. Must be self-motivated and willing to supervise others, as needed. Promotions available depending on prior experience, education, and licensing/certifications attained. Under Supervision of Golf Course Superintendent. Responsible for day to day operations, including greens, tees, fairways, rough, clubhouse landscaping, etc. Training will be provided.

 

EQUIPMENT SERVICE MECHANIC

Part Time. Seasonal. Industry average wages paid. Promotions available depending on prior experience, education, and certifications attained. Light mechanical fixes and servicing of riding mowers, golf carts, and other motorized equipment and tractors. Experience working with hydraulic hoses, mower reels, and general maintenance of driving mowers recommended. Must be able to keep work area highly organized and clean. Must be able to read and understand service manuals. These typical duties are not a complete list of all responsibilities, duties, and skills required or performed by employees in this position. Applicants are required to provide proof of an active state issued driver’s license to qualify. Must possess no chemical allergies or outdoor allergies that would interfere with daily tasks. Must be able to lift at least 50 lbs. Training provided.

 

FRONT DESK STARTER / CASHIER
Full or Part Time, Seasonal. Duties include assisting guests at check-in. Organizing tee times and getting groups out on the course on time. Other tasks include cash register sales, taking phone reservations, answering guest inquiries, supervising golf cart staging area, organizing shop merchandise, assisting with leagues, and more. (Duties stated are not a complete list of all responsibilities and skills required or performed by employees in this position.) Training will be provided. Applicants must be available to work weekends and evening shifts. Applicants must typically be age 21, or over, since beer sales are involved.

 

FRONT DESK ASSISTANT
Full Time or Part Time, Seasonal. Both locations. Industry average wages paid. Promotions available depending on prior experience at other golf courses, certifications, licensing, or permits attained. Specific positions include shift supervisor, front desk cashier, course starter, housekeeping, and snack bar attendant, and cart/range attendant. Some positions require applicants to have a food handlers permit and/or a Utah alcohol server permit. All positions require proof of valid Utah drivers license. Training provide. Applicants must be available to work weekends and evening shifts.

 

CART AND RANGE CLEANER
Full Time or Part Time, Seasonal. Industry average wages paid. Typically minimum wage or greater depending on experience and education. Job tasks include assisting the Superintendent with preparing and detailing golf carts and picking up range balls on the driving range. Assisting the front desk with arranging carts and cleaning up the staging area of trash and other janitorial necessities. Must be self-motivated and able to stay on task. Must arrive promptly and complete all assignment by supervisors. Proof of state issued drivers license is required. Must possess no chemical allergies or outdoor allergies that would interfere with daily tasks. Must be able to lift at least 50 lbs. Training will be provided.

 

HOUSEKEEPING
Part Time, Seasonal. Minimum of 1-2 shifts per week. Industry average wages paid. Responsible for assisting clubhouse manager with general housekeeping to keep the clubhouse and support buildings clean and presentable. Janitorial duties may include sweeping, mopping, dusting, vacuuming, window cleaning, counter cleaning, bathroom cleaning, seating area cleaning, furniture re-arranging and cleaning, and more. Shifts are flexible. Minimal training will be provided. Applicants will be expected to be self motivated and knowledgeable about cleaning methods and proper use of cleaning tools and chemicals. Must possess no chemical allergies  that would interfere with daily tasks. Must be able to lift at least 50 lbs. Training will be provided.

 

INSTRUCTOR ASSISTANT
Part Time, Seasonal. Minimum 1-2 shifts per week. Industry average wages paid. Promotions available depending on prior experience teaching golf, and certifications attained, included PGA levels. Responsible for assisting general manager or Academy director with classes of  beginner and intermediate players. Will be required to promote course sponsored learning programs and assist as necessary. Thorough knowledge about the game of golf is required, preference will be given to applicants with experience playing competitively in High School or College, and those with prior experience instructing. PGA certification not required, but is encouraged.  

 

IRRIGATION / SPRINKLER TECHNICIAN
Full Time or Part Time. Industry average wages paid. Promotions available depending on experience, education, and certifications. Job tasks include assisting the course superintendent with repair and maintenance of the golf courses sprinkler systems and pumping equipment; and assisting with general course maintenance as needed, troubleshooting and hands-on repair and replacement of sprinkler heads, pvc pipe, low voltage wiring, valves, and controllers. Completing season-end winterization of pumps and irrigation pipes. Learning and scheduling with the central computer software. (Duties listed above are not a complete list of all responsibilities and skills required or performed by employees in this position.) Must possess no chemical allergies or outdoor allergies that would interfere with daily tasks. Must be able to lift at least 50 lbs. Applicants are required to provide proof of an active state issued driver’s license to qualify. Training will be provided.

 

GROUNDS CREW LABORER
Full Time or Part Time, Seasonal. Industry average wages paid. Promotions available depending on experience, education, and certifications. Responsible to assist with landscaping, mowing, sprinklers, turfgrass maintenance, and other day-to-day operations. Must be comfortable with hand labor, such as using tools, operating mowers and weed trimming equipment, digging up sprinklers, general grass repair, and landscaping projects as needed. Must possess no chemical allergies or outdoor allergies that would interfere with daily tasks. Must be able to lift at least 50 lbs. Applicants are required to provide proof of an active state issued driver’s license to qualify. Training will be provided.

 

FAIRWAY OR ROUGH MOWER
Part Time. Seasonal. Approximately 20-30 hours per week. Responsible for assisting the Superintendent with riding mower tasks, including fairways and/or roughs. Requires extended sitting time on driving mowers or tractors. Includes care for mower such as washing and greasing. Applicants must have not seasonal or chemical allergies that will affect attendance or ability to accomplish the job each week. Applicants must be able to lift at least 50 lbs. (Gas cans, and so forth.) Applicants are required to provide proof of an active state issued driver’s license to qualify. Training will be provided.

Additional Information

Staff members averaging 20 or more hours worked, per week, receive free golf perks and shop discounts. Employee perks include free golf and range benefits for all employees in good standing. Discounts on clubhouse food and merchandise, employee lunches, Christmas bonuses, and sales commissions.

Shifts usually include some weekends and holidays. Shifts may be early morning to afternoon, and/or afternoon to nightfall. 20-40 hour average work week.

Applicants Must have hand usage and be able to complete the required tasks. Applicants must be self-motivated to work under little or no supervision, if required. Experience in the golf, sales, or hospitality industry preferred but not required. Applicants must supply proof of a valid Motor Vehicle Operator’s license, and a valid U.S. Social Security number. New employees will be subject to a 90-day probationary period. Background check or drug screening may be required for new hires. The majority of seasonal job interviews are conducted and filled in February and March each year. (Although we will consider outstanding applicants at any time during the year.)
