If you are looking ahead to next year’s golf season, here are the positions we will have available. Interviews are typically held at the end of February. Many jobs are seasonal and typically start in March or April of each year and end in October or November. Wages are negotiable depending on experience at a golf course. Entry level positions are typically minimum wage with golf benefits. Available positions may vary depending on the golf course.
Full Time or Part Time. Desk applicants must be age 21, or above, since beer sales are involved. Applicants must be available to work weekends and evening shifts. Training provided.
FRONT DESK STARTER / CASHIER
Full or Part Time. Duties include assisting guests at check-in. Ages 21 and older. Organizing tee times and getting groups out on the course on time. Other tasks include cash register sales, taking phone reservations, answering guest inquiries, supervising golf cart staging area, organizing shop merchandise, assisting with leagues, and more. FRONT DESK ASSISTANT
Full Time or Part Time, Seasonal. Both locations. Ages 21 and older. Wages are negotiable depending on experience at a golf course, certifications, licensing, or permits attained. Specific positions include shift supervisor, front desk cashier, course starter, housekeeping, and snack bar attendant, and cart/range attendant. Some positions require applicants to have a food handlers permit and/or a Utah alcohol server permit. All positions require a valid Utah drivers license. Training provide. Applicants must be available to work weekends and evening shifts.
SNACK BAR (REMUDA)
Full Time or Part Time, approximately 10am to 3pm shifts. Seasonal months are Memorial Day to Labor Day. Must be available weekends and holidays. Wages are negotiable depending on food and beverage experience, cooking experience, cleaning experience, permits held, and education. Specific responsibilities include preparation and cooking of snack bar food and stocking of product on shelves, keeping eating areas tidy, and kitchen area compliant with codes of cleanliness. Coordination with clubhouse manager and food distributors required. We will train and help new hires obtain food handlers permit and Utah alcohol server permit (if over age 21). All positions require a valid Utah drivers license and previous experience with cooking. Applicants must be available to work weekends.
Part Time, seasonal. Minimum of 1-2 shifts per week. Responsible for assisting clubhouse manager with general housekeeping to keep the clubhouse and support buildings clean and presentable. Janitorial duties may include sweeping, mopping, dusting, vacuuming, window cleaning, counter cleaning, bathroom cleaning, seating area cleaning, furniture re-arranging and cleaning, and more. Shifts are flexible. Minimal training will be provided. Applicants will be expected to be self motivated and knowledgeable about cleaning methods and proper use of cleaning tools and chemicals.
1ST OR 2ND ASSISTANT SUPERINTENDENT
Full Time or Part Time. Wages are negotiable depending on industry averages based on experience and certifications. Assisting the grounds superintendent with care of greens and the rest of the golf course. Including irrigation maintenance, turfgrass maintenance, coordinating with other employees, and typical day to day operations. Must be comfortable with hand labor, such as using hand tools, operating mowing equipment, replacing sprinklers, greens maintenance, general course repair, and supervising projects as needed. EQUIPMENT SERVICE MECHANIC
Light mechanical fixes and servicing of riding mowers, golf carts, and other motorized equipment and tractors. Experience working with hydraulic hoses, mower reels, and general maintenance of driving mowers recommended. Must be able to keep work area highly organized and clean. IRRIGATION / SPRINKLER TECHNICIAN
Full Time or Part Time. Wages are negotiable depending on experience and certifications. Job tasks include assisting the Superintendent with repair and maintenance of the golf courses sprinkler systems and pumping equipment; and assisting with general course maintenance as needed, troubleshooting and hands-on repair and replacement of sprinkler heads, pvc pipe, low voltage wiring, valves, and controllers. Completing season-end winterization of pumps and irrigation pipes. Learning and scheduling with the central computer software. GROUNDS CREW LABORER
Assisting with landscaping, mowing, sprinklers, turfgrass maintenance, and other day-to-day operations. Wages are negotiable depending on experience and certifications. Must be comfortable with hand labor, such as using tools, operating mowers and weed trimming equipment, digging up sprinklers, general grass repair, and landscaping projects as needed. Must possess no chemical allergies or outdoor allergies that would interfere with daily tasks. Training will be provided.
FAIRWAY OR ROUGH MOWER
Part Time. Seasonal. Approximately 20-30 hours per week. Responsible for assisting the Superintendent with riding mower tasks, including fairways and/or roughs. Requires extended sitting time on driving mowers or tractors. Includes care for mower such as washing and greasing. Applicants must have not seasonal or chemical allergies that will affect attendance or ability to accomplish the job each week. Applicants must be able to lift at least 50 lbs. (Gas cans, and so forth.) Applicants are required to have an active state issued driver’s license to qualify. Training will be provided.
Staff members averaging 20 or more hours worked, per week, receive free golf perks and shop discounts. Employee perks include free golf and range benefits for all employees in good standing. Discounts on clubhouse food and merchandise, employee lunches, Christmas bonuses, and sales commissions.
Shifts usually include some weekends and holidays. Shifts may be early morning to afternoon, and/or afternoon to nightfall. 20-40 hour average work week.
Applicants Must have hand usage and be able to complete the required tasks. Applicants must be self-motivated to work under little or no supervision, if required. Experience in the golf, sales, or hospitality industry preferred but not required. Applicants must supply proof of a valid Motor Vehicle Operator’s license, and a valid U.S. Social Security number. New employees will be subject to a 90-day probationary period. Background check or drug screening may be required for new hires. The majority of seasonal job interviews are conducted and filled in February and March each year. (Although we will consider outstanding applicants at any time during the year.)
